About Jasmin

A desire to understand the biological underpinnings of human experience led Jasmin to study Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews. Deeply fascinated by the scientific concepts she was introduced to, Jasmin realised that instead of a career in the laboratory, she really wanted to be a science writer. She chose to do a Masters in Science Communication at Cardiff University, where she worked at the hands-on science centre Techniquest in Cardiff Bay.

After completing internships at the Royal Society as a writer at the Summer Science Exhibition, Jasmin specialised in communicating science for the UK Research Councils, working first at the Natural Environment Research Council, and then at the Economic and Social Research Council. She now works as a freelance writer, covering all different areas of science, from astronomy to social science.

Jasmin is a passionate and engaging science and technology communicator who can reach audiences of all types and sizes. Whether you need a feature article, a press release or a tailor-made communication, contact her to discuss your individual needs.
